Dedh
Ishqiya is an Indian drama thriller with a spice up of comedy. The plot starts
with iftekhar and Babban who are recently released from a jail of india but
they have not yet learned to mend their ways and change their life style. So
falling prey of their old habits they steal a very expensive necklace and then
they both head for a very rich state that is mahmudabad.
While in mahmudabad,
iftekhar falls in love with the widow of the nawab of mahmudabad. She is shown
to have an immense interest in Urdu poetry and hence she arranges a competition
of urdu poetry in her court were iftekhar goes and competes with all other
poets of Urdu. Meahwhile babban falls for the nawab’s widow’s friend and a
smart assistant called manniya. Both manniya and babban decide to kidnap nawab
and this is where all the fun starts that Ashqiya is known to have.
This plot
filled with drama and comedy as well as the wild performances of heart throb of
India i.e. Madhuri madam has everything that it takes to make dedh ishqiya a
must watch movie. Especially the mujra that Madhuri dixit performs with her
sleek and swift dance moves and the acting of Huma Khan as her assistance is
priceless.
Moreover the movie is set into the past which makes it more worth
watching and interesting. Everything from the direction, production,
screenplay, and makeup to back ground scores is impeccable and no wonder has
made dedh ishqiya the most watched new released movie.
